Services

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy is hands-on treatment to correct joint, muscular, and soft tissue problems.  Our training allows us to treat the root of the problem, not just cover up the symptoms.  We have the only Manual Therapy Certified Therapist (MTC) in the area. MTC certification is a rigorous certification much like the Board Certification your physician may complete.  In fact there are only about 2,500 therapists in the world with this special certification.  (Manual Therapy is usually covered by insurance.)

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is defined as "pain that generally lasts longer than 3 months" and is often difficult to treat.  It usually has multiple factors that keep the pain going.  Chronic pain can be from the spine, muscles, joints, organs, scar or pelvic area.  To treat chronic pain well, a clinician requires experience, patience and the ability to solve complex problems.  We possess all of the above.

Spine Pain

At some point in their lives, 1 in 4 people will have back or neck pain the requires treatment.  The pain can be caused from the facets, arthritis, spondylosis, stenosis, weakness, stiffness, nerve compression, damage to the disc or a combination of the above.  One size does not fit all, and doing your neighbors exercises may actually make you worse.  We are well-versed in the causes and the associated treatments for each type of spine pain.

Women's Health

We know it is as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack to locate a physical therapist that treats issues specific to women.  With more than 17 years of experience, we resolve pelvic pain and weakness, pregnancy pain, post-natal pain and symptoms, stress and urge incontinence and pelvic congestion.  In addition, our incontinence program has a 90% success rate and typically requires less than 10 visits.

Fitness Training

Who do you trust to train you?  With more training than any other profession in exercise training and human movement, Physical Therapists can make you stronger, faster, and lighter.  We are medical professionals uniquely qualified for training and will develop a fitness plan that works around any medical issues or previous injuries without keeping you on the sidelines.

Weight Loss

Today, there are numerous approaches to weight loss.  We know that it is tough to lose weight and often harder to keep it off.  But, with the right support and some cool new technology, we can help you reach and maintain a number on the scale that is healthier and trimmer for you.

Diabetes

Our successful Diabetes program will help you get your blood sugar under control (usually within 2-3 weeks) when you follow our step-by-step plan.  We will teach you new ways to lower your blood sugar, keep it under control, lose weight, and get your life back.  Instead of a life of pain and disability, we offer a way to get your life back.  (This program may be covered by insurance with your doctor’s referral.)

Headaches

Your headache is specific to you.  There are close to a dozen different types of headaches, and there are also hundreds of triggers for headaches making each headache sufferer unique.  We want to help you discover the origin and triggers to this debilitating problem and with treatment resolve or reduce the frequent and severity of your headaches.

Sports Injury

Our team of therapists know what it takes to get you back in the game.  We are competitors too!  We treat Olympic, collegiate, club, professional, and recreational athletes. We use both manual therapy and exercise for the quickest and best recovery.  Don’t be fooled by the lack of heavy equipment.  We believe in functional training using body weight, balance work, and speed training.  Unless you are a heavy-weight champion, this method is the preferred method of training and reduces the risk of injury during training.  Let us show you a better way!

Dance Recovery

Dancing is not just art, it is much like an extreme sport.  With experience in working with professional and collegiate dancers, we understand the flexibility and control required to heal from a dance injury.  We also know that a dancer must be able to perform a movement repeatedly and flawlessly for a performance.

Scar Release

Painful and restrictive scarring can prevent function and lead to overuse in surrounding muscles and joints.  We have experience and results in treating post injury or post surgical scarring.  Don’t suffer needlessly.

Scoliosis

Curvature of the spine can happen as a teen or later in life.  Our treatment can, in most cases, prevent the need for bracing.  In addition, we have seen the reduction of spinal curvature in the short term and a lessening of the typical increase in the curvature that occurs over time.  Left untreated scoliosis can lead to poor lung and organ function.  An ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure.

Balance Training and Vertigo

Improve balance, prevent falls and improve dizziness through scientific training.  Vertigo can be debilitating.  We treat BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo) usually in 2-3 visits. The treatment is usually painless, but more may be required if there is underlying neck stiffness or balance problems.

Workman’s Compensation / Return to Work Training

Injuries happen, but we know how to correct the problems and want to get you back to work.  We look at ways to improve your work station and will give you the confidence to get back in the swing of things.  Plus, we can even retrain you for another more appropriate position if necessary.
