Why choose Thrive for your Worker's compensation needs? Thrive is dedicated to providing personalized, one-on-one care which can get you back to your life as soon as possible. During your initial evaluation you can expect a thorough examination of the patient's injury, work requirements, overall wellness, and any other factors that may be contributing. You are not just a "back patient" or a "shoulder patient." We collaborate with the patient to address the person as a whole!
Thrive provides services in Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). Your physician may request this testing in order to determine a level you can safely return to work or in many circumstances, settle your case. During an FCE, the patient can expect a detailed discussion of the patient's medical history, work history, work requirement, work goals, and activities of daily living. The evaluator will then examine the person and take various measurements including, but not limited to range of motion, strength, quality of movement, sensation, etc. The patient may also be asked to perform other tests related to the person's specific job requirements. The evaluator will not ask the patient to perform any tasks he/she feels would be unsafe. The patient can decline any testing that he/she feels unsafe.
Ultimately, we are here to assist in the process of moving forward with your life. We send the report to your physician and to any other parties requested. The FCE can assist with any recommendations or restrictions for your job. The FCE can assist the physician in any disability determinations. The FCE can be a way to gain employment as part of pre-employment or post-offer testing to determine ability to safely perform the job.
